WOMEN'S DIGNITY: THE LOST TREASURE.

Don't mind me, am a female and am always concerned about the conditions of ladies nowadays. And that's why am starting with something feminine.

WHAT'S DIGNITY?  It's the quality of being worthy of honor and respect. A state of being worthy, honored or esteemed.

TREASURE? Something valuable, special and important which is kept in a safe place, usually covered.

During the Jahiliyyah (ignorant)  period, women were disrespected, dishonored and degraded to a worthless and disvalued being who do not deserve anything, even being alive. As a result, many females were buried alive because they were seen as mere burden that don't have any benefit.  Those that were not buried were dishonored and seen as property less than a human being.

At the advent of Islam, women were honored, cherished and their status as a woman  is raised from below the earth to the extent that paradise lies at her feet. This is backed up with the Hadith of the prophet (SAW) which says,

"Paradise lies at the feet of the mother "

In another hadith, the Prophet (SAW) said

"Allah has forbidden you disobedience to your mothers... And to bury your daughters alive".

There are plethora of Quranic verses as well which talks about the dignity of women. Among them is Suratul Ahzaab, Q33:59 where Allah says:
"O Prophet, tell your wives, and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves (part)  of their outer garment. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused "

The above and many others are evidence of the fact that Islam values, respects and cherishes the women folk. Thus, Muslim women are dignified.  But how come this dignity, given by Allah himself to the womenfolk is now regarded as something which is now a LOST TREASURE?

Allah honors us by putting on us, the garment of dignity after we've been deprived of it. Yet, we choose to be an object of ridicule by preferring to go naked, allowing ourselves to be used as an instrument for all forms of indecency. We allowed ourselves to be brainwashed that there is freedom to do anything and anybody or any religion that is trying to restrict us is oppressing us.
We've forgotten that valuable things are always kept safe and covered. Or tell me, can you leave that your diamond jewelry which worth millions of dollar on the table where everyone could see?  Definitely No!  Why?  Because it's precious. You can't afford to lose it. You know the value right?

Women are more precious than that!  They are treasures, valuable even more than pearls. Yet, we can see that pearls are covered with shells, scarce and found deep down in water.

They say Muslim women are oppressed. Some were even calling for the freedom of women. Hnmm!  Freedom from what?  Freedom from her dignity ofcourse, freedom from the pride that she has and from the clothes that she wears.  They brainwashed her to be free from the value she has, down to no value!  Then she also listened! She listened and then pleased human beings instead of pleasing Allah (SWT).  The Prophet (SAW)  said:
"...And women who have clothes on their bodies but they are naked and they sway side by side,  these two women will not even be able to find the fragrance of jannah".

The fact is that there is no one on this earth more beautiful than a Muslim woman who obeys Allah and dresses to please only Allah.  Islam is the only religion which gives women much rights different from those preached by the enemies of Islam which is craziness in its real sense and not freedom.

    The Prophet (SAW)  said:
"look after women!  For they are the one that are going to raise the youth".
This means that we women of nowadays must retrieve back our lost treasure which is our dignity, by being modest and upright! We must go back to the teachings of Allah and His Rosul so as to be able to train our Youths well and also, to achieve peace in this world and the hereafter.  May Allah assist us and increase us in eeman.  Aameen.

Assalaam alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu.
